Turning From Your Wicked Ways

One night I was on my bible app and the bible verse of the day really spoke to me.

It read, “2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT                       Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land”

And what really caught my eye was “and turn from their wicked ways“.

So what does it mean to turn from your wicked ways?

It means giving up that alcohol addiction, drug addiction, porn addiction, self-harm addiction, gambling addiction, etc.

It means giving up the worldly things that are blocking your walk with God.

It’s time for us to fully surrender ourselves to Christ, and give up the things that are holding us back.

Because in reality, these worldly things DO NOT MATTER!

In the scripture it says that after we give up our wicked ways, God will forgive and restore!

So are you willing to give up your wicked ways?

The only thing that they do in your life is put you down spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically.

There is no joy in that.

Turn from the things that are weighing you down, and watch the change that will flow in your life!

God is waiting on you with his loving arms open for you!

Taming the Tongue

One of the ways the devil tries to destroy people is by cussing. People have become so blind to it. Once you continue to do it so much, it’s becomes like any other word.

VERSES — 🙂

  1. Proverbs 10:31 – the wisdom of the righteous flows with wisdom, but the perverted tongue will be cut out
  2. Ephesians 5:4 – and there will be no filthiness and silly talk or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks
  3. 1 Peter 1:15 – but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior

I don’t think that the topic is really brought about. You see cussing all over social media. Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, etc.

Cussing is very popular in today’s times. What happened to moms putting soap in their kid’s mouth when they cuss? Now it’s just a joke or something to laugh at.

It’s not okay if Christians cuss and I’m very opposed to it. We as Christians are supposed to represent Christ and the goodness of Him. Jesus did not cuss. How foolish does that make us look? We are supposed to keep our mouth cleaned.

Do not let the devil have control over your tongue and your language.

Let God have control of you and see how things will change in your life. 🙂

I’m not here to judge and I’m not saying that I’m God. Because I promise you that I’m not. I will never be as perfect as Him. If you are a Christian to be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ and you cuss daily, I really hope you take a look at your life and you ask yourself if you are doing the right thing.

Don’t post about how much you love God in your bio, but your posts don’t add up to it.

I know I’ve cussed numerous times in my past, but I try everyday to not even think about letting one slip through my mind. Cussing will literally consume your whole head and your soul if you don’t be careful.

People will notice if you don’t cuss. I’ve had many people say to me “why don’t you ever cuss?”. They think it’s so rare when a person doesn’t cuss.

All I want to say to you is that cussing is not worth it. It ruins your walk with God. We are supposed to be an image of God! Let’s show each other and everyone around of us how to be a light to this world. x
